"Family Birthday Party...In need of an events photographer, we asked Lee along to take informal pictures at a party to celebrate the 18th and 21st birthdays of our two sons at our home in sussex. Despite the complete mix of ages, Lee put everyone at ease and produced some stunning photography. He also took some very clever shots that really capture the mood and atmosphere of the party. 	Rather than offer very low cost attendance fees, with the need for the customer to choose individual images to purchase, mid sussex photography supplies them all, subject to quality control of course, so...there are no hidden costs or surprises. All images are supplied as digital negatives ready to be printed if required. With printing costs so low and quality so high these days, it is our belief that supplying all images and allowing the customer the option of printing just those that they wish is the way forward.

Other 'Events' photographers attend for free and sell prints at the event! Why not Mid Sussex Photography?

The most common form of 'Events' photography typically revolves around guests having their photograph taken as they arrive at the event, these images then being printed and sold at that time. These sales make it viable to attend and take the photos for free. This type of photography is necessarily restricted to images taken against a static background in a designated area.

The events photography service provided by Mid Sussex Photography is in fact more akin to wedding photograhy. The event is photographed candidly, maybe with the occasional staged shot of individuals and/or groups if desired, but for the most part the emphasis is on capturing the interactions of the people present, informal photographs of people being people. The final collection of images aims to tell the story of the event, what happened and who was involved.

It is important to understand the distinction between these two styles of photography and to understand what it is that Mid Sussex Photography offers with its events photography service. This service is ideally suited to birthdays, most commonly significant years such as 18, 21, 40, 50 etc. Anniversaries of all types, and even just general get togethers where those in attendance have perhaps travelled long distances and the group rarely have the chance to interact, these are memories that people like to record and keep forever.

What if other people in attendance at the event would themselves like copies of the images?

All images are supplied in digital format and are very easily shared via email, facebook etc. Additional copies of the DVD containing the images can be purchased for £10 each, or you may freely make extra copies yourself for distribution. All images are also ready to be printed if desired and sent on to those that wish to have them.

Advice is always freely given to ensure you are able to share your images as quickly and conveniently as possible.

How soon after the event will our images be ready?

It is slightly dependant upon the number of hours photography that is undertaken, and consequently the number of images captured, but a good estimate is about 3-5 days.

Are you able to advise on, or even supply printed products such as canvasses etc.?

Yes. The typical end product from me is a complete set of photos, digitally edited and ready for viewing, sharing and printing as may be required. I am able to offer advice with regards to choice of processing labs for regular photo prints and enlargements, professional quality prints as well as canvasses and other larger print products.

Business partnerships with suppliers allow for great prices on canvasses, aluminium dibond and acrylic prints.
